Kids who think it is okay to hit other kids

happy Sunday to some of you. While we were in church, a family was sitting in front of us and they had 3 kids - 2 guys and a girl, the eldest. At a certain time, the middle kid kept punching his sister and later on the youngest also punched and slapped his sister in the face... My mom and I were just ... we kind of tried to tell them off but we were afraid that the parents might get the wrong idea. i really hate kids who think it is alright to hit other kids, parents should tell them in the first instance that it is not okay! Good thing it stopped after that because i was about to grab that youngest kid's hand if he tried to slap his sister again.

it only shows that the parents don't care about their kids. the kids should be disciplined/ this morning, a young girl age 5 i think, was so movable and she kept on moving from my right to my left. i stared at her with big eyes. apparently, she understood because she stood still with her left index finger in her mouth.

@lady1993 only when they are disciplined by their parents do they stop. several months ago, there was a young girl in front of our pew, who kept on touching the bag of my sister. when my sister stared at her with big eyes, the young girl put her tongue out, and continued to play with the strap of my sister's bag. i told her parents about the attitude of their kid. later, the parents and the girl left before th consecration of the Holy Eucharist.

It is a horrible behavior that the parents will not teach their children not to hit other children, even if it is not OK to bully others.

I know, i have never seen the parent reprimand them, only hold them away from each other or something

indeed, it was during the time we were kneeling, so the parents did not see much of the hitting and slapping

Those kids are spoiled and have no manners, it's wrong to hit their sister and the fact they were in Church makes their act even worse.

I know, the youngest was the most active, we tried to tell him not to but he still went on with it

@lady1993 Their parents are those who could say something and stop the kid.

I would've said something, because the parents should not be allowing hitting

We kind of said it, but only low key though, since we did not want to cause a scandal

Kids love fighting. I did that when I was a kid.

That is so sad! I can understand your reservations in not getting involved, but that made me want to actually tap the parents on their shoulders and say that they should step in and do something on how their kids are treating their own sibling. It is sad that kids express themselves through hitting.

I guess the kids thought it was okay because the parents weren't reprimanding them. We were in the ceremony though

I raised six children and none of them hit each other. They did a lot of yelling at each other which was ok.

The parents saw and did nothing? I think that's just not appropriate. It could send the wrong message to the kids and they would think it's okay to hit each other like that.

sometimes they would interfere, but at that time we were kneeling so they did not see everything

Happy Sunday to you too :) . It is terrible when parents allow that kind of behaviour. You did try to stop them, but, it is the parents responsibility and they should not have allowed those kids to behave that way.
