I Am Not a Bar Person

Every now and then, my fiancé would enjoy a few drinks with friends in this one bar in our town. Sometimes I would join him and we would play pool while I have my favorite bar drink of all time - coke zero. Well, I cannot handle alcohol plus I have bad allergic reactions. I am also the one driving us around and so I have to be sober. Usually I would leave after an hour because the bar isn't really my favorite place to hang out. I only stay for my fiancé and after that I leave him to our friends and I drive home and either study or go on mylot or watch Netflix. Last Friday night, we went to the usual bar with a friend of his as per usual I am the designated driver. After a few minutes, another friend showed up, then my fiancé's niece, another friend of his, a friend of a friend, you get the picture. After I finished my coke, I decided to say goodbye and leave them. It was around 8:00 p.m. As I was leaving, I heard some heated words being exchanged between my fiancé's niece and a friend of his. I am not sure what started it all but it seems like there are some differences in opinions about taking selfies. Add that with insecure twenty-something year olds with enough alcohol to make them brazen and you have a recipe for a fight. We tried to stay neutral because both of them are dear to us. But instead of understanding our position, they made us choose sides. We stood our ground that we will remain remain neutral and we will not choose sides. And this is one of the reasons I am not a big fan of bars.

And when people get a few drinks in them they start to act different than they normally do. That is when I would leave.

I also not fond of bar stuffs. I just go there and have a one drink if there is a special occation but if i have money and the time to spare for an hour. Id rather go to the bakers shop or coffee shop. Eat bread and drink latte. Lol

I do not blame you about bars. I like cola zero and I love Netflix. Good for you for standing your ground. I am not a bar person either. I can understand why you do not like bars.

youngsters tend to have arguments in bars, ignore them
