Do you like fruitcake?

Back with my Christmas themed discussions, do you like fruitcake? Fruitcake is one of those things that you love it or hate it..I am kind of in the middle though. I do like it, but it is highly caloric, and honestly, I would rather eat Christmas cookies. I saw a recipe for a Carribbean style fruitcake that looked quite interesting. It's not in the budget this year, but perhaps in years to come I will make one.

I really like fruitcake a lot Snowy.
I like it and usually just buy a few small ones at Walmart each year.
I would love to make my own sometime.
Sounds interesting the Caribbean one.

Yes, I thought it sounded really different! Maybe, I will try to remember to make it next year fingers crossed I won't be so broke. Actually, I don't think I will accept that from myself.

@much2say It was good, but it was not worth the price. It came in a cool tin though and I think it included brandy and honey.

If I make it I love it, those you buy I do not but everyone else does.
Plus being a fruitcake does help

hahah..They are expensive to make as well..I don't like that candied fruit that much either.

I don't like it, which is surprising, because there's not much I don't like. But I really can't pinpoint why I don't like it. I just know I don't like the taste for some reason.

i am not thrilled with the candied fruits that are in it actually..but sometimes they are good.

I don't mind it but I never buy it or make it. It can be expensive to make.

I think I've only tried it once, but I've seen recipes for fruitcake cookies that don't look too bad.
