Well I Said Lazy

I felt lazy this morning waiting on the Dish tech to arrive and after he left I decided I would go outside and soak up some Vitamin D while its warm and let the dogs run around for a while and I could move more brush. It was not long till Tony came outside to see what I was doing, and he seen how big some of the branches were and got his electric chainsaw out and began to cut them smaller, that meant me moving them faster too. He quit and went hunting this evening and I walked the dogs, filled all the buckets with clean water and closed up the greenhouse. Before heading inside I grabbed me 6 recycled plastic tubs, filled them with potting soil and brought them with me. Once inside I got out the tomato seed and the bell pepper seeds. I planted 3 of each. I want to start me plants inside now so that I can have food year round, whether in the greenhouse or not. Six plants I can manage. I chopped up cabbage for dinner and got it cooking and I am now down for a break. How was your Sunday?

As always, you are a busy bee and very productive and thinking ahead. Here, we had snow and it was windy and very cold. After caring for my spiritual needs, I still decided to go for a walk. I put on my ski pants as they keep the wind out and went for a short walk.

@andriaperry I am doing my best to not panic about it. The weather has been friendly for pretty long this year. That could mean a super nasty wake up time soon.

I'm glad Tony came out and used his chainsaw on those large branches. That helped you, clear the brush out a lot easier. I hope your greenhouse brings a lot of vegetables, during the cooler months:)

@andriaperry Mom's greenhouse wasn't designed properly, for the intense, January sunshine.

Well, it is only going on 4 pm here, but so far my Sunday has been really good. Had Church this morning, and then we went to Olive Garden for lunch. I am sitting here posting a little here, and my husband is taking a nap before we have to head to evening service at church

My Sunday was great as I enjoyed with my kids. I don't like cabbage as it's said it contains small worms which are not visible and are very hateful.

I have never heard of cabbage having worms. I heated mine so if there were worms I killed them.

I'm tired as I sit here. We went for a nice big drive earlier today, and I baked alot of cookies, vacuumed and mopped the floors. I did a nice supper, and we enjoyed some of the fruit salad that I made up. But boy......am I ever tired! I'll sleep good tonight.

@andriaperry As we get older, the job seems more difficult so it moves down the list of 'things to do'.

That would be neat to be able to grow food year round. I do not have a green thumb though and would likely kill? them. It seems the most though that they die after I plant them outside after they are growing well inside but I'm not sure why.

@andriaperry sometimes I just forget to water them when they are outside but I think it's mostly something I do wrong when I replant them.

You actually get service techs to come out on Sunday. Where I live that is unheard of. We had an issue with the fuse going out in our electric meter on a Sunday night. We couldn't even call the service center until Monday morning at 8. Then we were told they were on strike and wouldn't be able to come out. I had to call my friend to come and test the meter it was the fuse. Finally I got mad and kept calling every half hour. Finally a service guy showed up here around 6 that night and replaced the fuse in our electric meter. You're lucky to get Sunday service.

Yes the power company will also. Dish works on Sunday to get to the people who work week days. To me its much like retail and restaurants, those people work on Sundays.
