Well, I generally write long posts so... I think it's just right that I give a chance to other long posts. Haha. There are times when I get lost somewhere in long posts, and that can sometimes make me lose interest in continuing to read it. But if the post was written nicely... this includes breaking the post into paragraphs so that it's not just one big block of text, has a nice flow, and little errors in spelling and things like that, then there would be no problem.

@RodrickH Of course, the content itself is the most important factor. If the topic is something I know little or nothing about, or does not interest me at all, then forcing myself to read through it and give a half-hearted or irrelevant reply is probably going to be unfair to both me and the writer. :)

This has been the subject f discussion by many members , ...yes I read long posts because it shows that the member has a lot to contribute on the subject he or she wants to discuss about.

mylot has no minimum or maximum character count or word count, so people can write long posts if they want to. we just skip the posts we don't want to read.

It depends on whether it's a topic that interests me or not. Some discussions are short but still don't appeal to me so I wouldn't necessarily respond just because they take less time to read.

@RodrickH I got to more short points, i will admire, but if they are something I am interested in or the person is an amazing writer, I will read it and perhaps respond, if not then I just like and move on.

If the post is of my interest, I don't mind reading it although it's long. If it is not of my interest, I just scan or skim it.

If it appeals to me I read them but if its too lengthy and not well written I lose interest and discontinue. But there are also short ones that doesn't interest me so I skip those too.

I prefer to read shorter posts. I don't have the patience to read long posts. I know it is a bad habit and I have to change it.So from now on wards I will take time ,be patient and read long posts.
