A little more snow

Yes, we got a little more snow overnight. It is kind of nice to see on the ground. This is the second time we've gotten snow. The last snowfall was a week ago. However, that first one melted. And I think that this one may melt too, especially if the temperatures are going to be above zero tomorrow afternoon. I'll admit that I don't mind the snow so much. It's more the cold that I don't like.

You are still very young and I understand that you still like the snow. But as one gets older, it becomes a burden more than a joy.

I can understand that. I'm sure that we all hit a certain point, when it does make things difficult for us.

We get flurries but nothing that sticks as yet. I don't care for the snow or the cold. Trudging through the snow is hard work.

Walking through the snow can be really difficult. It's not always easy when there's a lot of it.

@celticeagle It does. It takes a lot of energy and it's a lot of work. And it's not always pleasant to be in the cold.

@dodo19 ......No, it isn't. Takes a lot of energy to even be out in the cold.

I envy those that get snow . . . at least the part about things getting covered in in that beautiful whiteness. Here, it had been close to summery weather last week - and finally it is cooling down again with a bit of showers while we were sleeping last night. Getting any rain is even a stretch!

I'll admit that I do enjoy getting snow. It's nice to see it fall. I also enjoy seeing my kids have fun in it. But I don't really like when it's freezing cold though.

@dodo19 I would love for my kids to enjoy real snow in their own backyard! But I know they would complain about the cold too .

Does it get less cold once the snow is on the ground?

The snow doesn't usually affect the cold. When there's snow on the ground, sometimes it'll get warmer, while other times it'll get a lot colder. It depends. At least it does here.

@dodo19 it always gets warmer here when there is snow on the ground. But different countries and different climates I suppose.

I love to see snow but hate when it makes walking difficult. I'm always afraid of falling

I'm sure that your kids will just love it. We are having really mild weather, and its been dry, so no snow here. They are calling for a high of 11C tomorrow--get out the sunscreen.

Yeah, my kids were enjoying it. Although I'm not sure if we'll have it for long. It'll be 5 degrees Celsius tomorrow.

I do not mind a little snow, but when the cold makes the snow become ice, this is a problem.

The ice doesn't make things pleasant for sure. A little snow is nice, for sure.

Snow is nice. Maybe I can send you some. I just won’t send our freezing weather. Unless we even things out a bit.

@dodo19 So if I send you some of our warmth and sunshine, you'll send me some of your snow and cold? I think that's a fair trade!

A couple of weeks ago we had a little snow but it went away. Probably more will be back sooner than later. That means hard driving for me. I wish it would never arrive.

It does make it difficult when there's a lot of snow. Hopefully, we don't get too much of it.

@dodo19 The temps are heading below freezing at night as December comes on. Normal and not wanted. I dread icy roads.

I can deal with those kinds of temperatures. For me, I can deal with temperatures as low as 20F or -5C, but anything below that it starts to be too cold. Believe it or now, we've had days that have gone as low as -40.

I can imagine that you don't get too much snow where you are. It does get quite cold here. I can deal with a little cold, but not when it's freezing cold.
