Do You Like Fruitcake?

Does anyone on here like Fruitcake? It looks nasty to me. But my husband says it’s actually pretty good. I also saw this in my Blair catalog. It’s made with Raisins, walnuts, pecans, orange peel, pineapple and cherries. A one-pound loaf that sells for $24.99 on sale for $21.99. I’m sure it’s cheaper in the stores. I have seen them in Walmart before and they look awful to me. But they must be popular since they are sold every year.

i've always loved fruitcake and it's one of the things i look forward to every christmas. but i've always known that there are people in other countries who don't, or never, liked it, and even make jokes about using them as doorsteps.

I do like fruitcake and used to make them at Christmas but since they weren't very popular I stopped making them. I do enjoy a piece but wouldn't buy a whole cake

I like fruitcake. And I don´t call "nasty" or "awful" to any food. I just don´t eat it. If someone says something about any food I´m eating, I feel sick. I am very picky, even about words

I've tried a few different brands/types from very cheap to what people call delicacy... all of it, makes me want to gag. I really love a lot of the ingredients too. So I don't know what it is about the mix that its just...

When you have the homemade stuff it is delicious. My mother used to make it. She'd bake it and then wrap it in cheesecloth and pour brandy on it and then wrap it up so that it could soak in-nobody likes dry fruit cake. It was always so delicious. It is quite expensive to make as those candied fruits are costly.
