I have my first share of stock. And it didn't cost me anything.

One of the free stuff websites that I follow posted something about joining a stock trading at and getting a free stock and exchange. So I went for it and today I received my free share of stock. The free share of stock I got was one share of Sirius XM Radio. When I got it it was valued at $5.44. So I guess I'm now part of the stock trading world. I probably won't dip into any other stocks quite yet but it's cool to have this one to see where it goes and see how I do with it. The attached picture is the screenshot of when I got my stock.

Be very careful with your personal information. Our broker handles our stocks and bonds for us. I know nothing about them. We've had Sirius XM for years and have it for free right now in our new car.

I hope for you that they have no account fees, or you are at risk to pay soon a lot more than the value of this share (the fees for my stock account are about $50/year + a small percentage of the value for each line).

@thislittlepennyearns It might be just a little welcome gift, but be careful, I am surprised that they did not asked at least for a valid ID to open the account. Read their terms and conditions if you did not yet.

I have nothing attached to my account so if they want to charge me something I'll just close my account and then I'll just be out five bucks that I didn't have dinner with so it doesn't really matter

Careful for scams, do not give any info over the internet for this one share. I am getting free Sat radio right now and I love it!
