US researchers at Indiana University said they have conducted scientific research using magnetic resonance machines to monitor brain activity in men and women and found through brain activities that men hear voices through the left hemisphere of the brain, the region associated with the ability to speak and hear in humans. But women's experiments have shown that women are able to hear sounds through the right and left sides of the brain. This explains the ability of women to show reactions more quickly because they hear voices more clearly than men. This also explains its ability to focus.

Apparently women also smell better than men. As in, they can catch a whiff of a scent better...not that they stink less. Though I have nothing to back up that claim. Just heard it somewhere.
