Food and all about food...

Can't cook, don't cook, and yes I'm clueless when it comes to cooking. But I love food, I love eating, I love all those delicious and healthy food. I can eat a lot and by a lot I mean really A LOT! I eat out almost every single day. I eat with friends at different restaurants, I eat with gusto! But that doesn't mean I eat everything. I don't eat pork, I rarely eat beef, and I stay away from dairy products. Sadly I can't eat as much cheese as I'd love to. But nevertheless, that doesn't stop me from loving food. Now let me check the weighing scale...

I doubt it. I know cooking is a talent. When I was in elementary and high school, I learned the basic of cooking in Home Economics class and nope that didn't turn me into a cook.

I think eating out in your country isn't as expensive as eating out in Australia. I know our friends in Singapore eat out all the time.

My. mother was a great cook. She graduated with a degree in Nutrition. She knows exactly what a healthy diet is but she never taught us and I rarely saw her cook when she was still alive.

@LadyDuck That explains it. My mom was a great cook but she didn't have the time to cook for us when she became a businesswoman. She rarely did that. My grand mommy was a great cook as well. My mother never introduced us to the kitchen though and never taught us any household chores.

I can cook anything and gourmet as well, but choose not to whenever possible. Walking keeps me thin, because I eat more than my husband! I eat almost anything.

I'm too lazy to walk at all. I don't have any exercise. But fortunately, I don't gain weight easily. I'm 5'3" and weighs 51kg.

I used to not like cooking but at one point I felt like experimenting in the kitchen a bit and have enjoyed it ever since. I think cooking itself is fun, it's just preparing the things (cutting, slicing, soaking, etc) that takes time.

@Marty1 Oh preparation is the least favorite part for me. Sometimes I think it would be so cool if everything's made ready like in those cooking shows on TV . Why weren't you allowed to cook when your mother was alive though?

@Marty1 Well some people think it's quicker and easier for them to do the work on their own without others around, perhaps that was the reason why your mother preferred to cook on her own. My husband's late grandmother didn't allow men in the kitchen to do the cooking and all that. I thought it was strange but I guess she probably saw the kitchen as strictly women's territory.

Wow! Beautiful as always, Toni. Pretty and I don't eat out very often... maybe three times in a month. We both love to cook and we both love to eat what we've cooked. (You still have a standing invitation to come over for lunch or dinner (or both) whenever you make it here.) I would enjoy cooking for you!

@toniganzon i weighed about 48 kilograms when i was in college. right now, i am 54.6 kgs, and i am also a rice eater. i think it is because of metabolism that is why we have great appetite but we don't get so fat. i am also 5'3" and 54.6 kilograms.
