Are You An Organ And Tissue Donor?

Yes I am. After I'm gone I want any part of my organ and/or tissue to be still of use to our fellow human beings and be donated to those who badly needed it. Which lead me to ask the question are you an organ and tissue donor? Who knows your organ and tissue might save lives even when you are gone and this could be your greatest legacy? I am thinking of becoming a donor. It's better to help others when we die.

@tzwrites That's right my friend and the thought that even we are gone we could still help other people makes sense.

@mandala100 True. Unfortunately a lot of people refuse to even consider organ donation.

@mandala100 It wasn't popular in my country. But I have an open door with this idea. It has been a long that I haven't see you here. Are you busy lately?

I am marked as an organ donor on my driver's license, but whether there is any call for any of my parts to be used will depend on what is needed when I die and if they are 'good' enough.

That's very kind of you to do so I don't mind donate the same from me after I die. The problem is I don't know where I can sign on it or deal with it when I am still alive. I think the hospital shall offer more information about it.

I have a few things that might still be good when I croak @mandala100 . I plan on being cremated so I guess I better let them know ahead of time.

In the UK we're trying to pass a law that everyone is automatically an organ donor unless they officially opt out - this is a good thing in my opinion, I think they do take into account the wishes of immediate relatives though and wouldn't take an organ if it was distressing to family

@chisandmark Thank you for this information. I believe that being an organ and tissue donot must always be on a voluntary basis my friend.

No i am not. But if one of my family member needs it i will be a donor. Have you donated or ask a friend to donate an organ?

@Friendlypink I already authorize my family to give my organ and tissue in the event that I die or pass away my friend. My driver's license says that I'm an organ and tissue donor. I never ask a friend to donate an organ it should be on a voluntary basis my friend.
