I woke up to some very surprising news. Matt Lauer who has been a Today show news man and broadcaster for many, many years and is in some way the face of NBC news has been fired do to sexual misconduct issues. Wow..truly the networks are taking this seriously..which they should and must do..but he is a big name. How embarrassing to have your career go down the toilet over something like that. He must feel ashamed, but when you choose the behavior you choose the consequences! What do you think?

I imagine his behavior was tolerated for quite some time before anyone took action.

I think it was right to let him go. They also got rid of a big $25 million dollar salary. A lot of us wrote about this sort of thing it seems.

So agree! He should`ve been aware that public image must show good conducts at all time

He probably never thought it would happen. I think there are a lot of behind the screen issues there anyway. I think he was a bit of a diva and control freak from what I have seen.

His mistake cost him a lot, I hope he has learned his lesson and will keep his behavior appropriate from now on.

It will be intersting to see if any other network hires him. Dan Rather ended up on HDTV. Brian Williams although fired for something different..I have not seen again.

He was arrogant to think he could do as he wished coming on to women at the job.
