A dear friend of mine here ( @Shaggin ) took the trouble to fetch the beginning of the story of María, a survivor of the earthquake of Valdivia. I wrote that post a long time ago, but it was not interesting then so I did not finish it. I was planning to tell it in several chapters, so to say. @Shaggin Placed the link in one of the posts I wrote yesterday (what do we want to read) and as I´m dumb as to place the link by myself, I can tell you at least where it is. By the way, this post, and how it is coming to life after over a year, is one of the wonderful things that happen at mylot. The post is called María´s story. A real tale. It is a real tale and, with a lot of effort on her side, with a beautiful ending. I´m copying here what I answered one of my friends who wanted to know more. She was in the house of her father and was a young girl at the time of the big Valdivia earthquake. They lived between the sea and the mouth of a river because her father had fishing boats. They barely reached the higher lands running before the big tsunami came. You can read about Valdivia´s earthquake at Google. It is the biggest ever recorded.
