Happy Wednesday (evening)

Wow I can't believe it's already time to start dinner and this is the first chance I've had all day to stop by and say hello.
After my morning coffee I went to the DMV to renew my drivers license. Some of you many remember I tried to do this last week and the place was beyond packed. Today I was lucky and I was able to get it done. One less thing to worry about.
After the DMV I made a stop at Sams Club and picked up some nice frozen shrimp for Christmas. They had it on sale and it was a bargain I couldn't pass up so we'll have shrimp cocktail as part of our appetizers. Little by little I'm shopping for our Christmas dinner which is always a buffet since there are at least 20 of us.
From there it was the Dollar Store and I got a bunch of things I needed and didn't need 
A stop at the post office for stamps so I can start writing out and mailing my Christmas cards.
Picked up lunch at Wendys and then spent a good part of the afternoon talking to my Aunt (her birthday was yesterday and she's 93!) and then online shopping for Christmas.
The day has totally disappeared and I'm going to grill some chicken and have it with a salad. No fancy cooking tonight...I'm tired.
I'm pretty much ready to just sit and relax but there's still a few things to do before I can call it a day.
What did you do today?

Yes cooked shrimp dipped in cocktail sauce. My aunt is remarkable making it to 93 years old.

Wow you had a busy day! My husband went to DMV yesterday as well to get our truck legal and for his new driver's license! =)

Do you send out many cards? My list has dwindled significantly over the past few years. An added letter will certainly be appreciated I'm sure.

@Marilynda1225 I think there is about 40 this year. I keep a list of those I've sent cards too and still have most of my lists from 1989 onwards. It is a strange feeling to read those early lists. So many have passed on, some are divorced, some have left the country, new names have been added - so much time has passed and so much has changed.

We also had grilled chicken with salad for lunch. Nothing fancy either. I´m dieting and my friends are not much interested in eating

Sometimes a day to kind of putter around is good. You sound like you've been fairly busy lately and maybe you just needed a day to unwind a bit.

Oh gosh, yesterday..hmm I went to he post office as someone wants to buy one of my books. I foud out how much it would cost to ship. mylotted and didn't do as much as I should probably do to be honest.
