Do you make the same ones every year or do you vary the routine? Do you make them at all? I made some last year that I liked and were quite simple to make..Cookies made from boxed chocolate cake topped with Andes mints. Everyone liked those, and I would make them again. I saw a recipe for festive cheesecake cookies I want to try, and this morning I saw some melting snowman cookies that looked interesting. What kind of Christmas cookies do you like? I hope I can bake this year..I think I noticed a problem with my oven today..hmmm...I am sure I will figure out something. I am nothing if not resourceful. Christmas cookies anyone?

I don't know how to bake. My sisters bake cookies, pastries, and cakes. I love watching them make yummy goodies.

I would bake my usual oatmeal cookies, with a few more festive ingredients added.

I saw someone make an awesome chocolate cake on the food network...it had some raspberry liqueur in it, but no cookies as of yet.

I don't usually bake Christmas cookies. I don't know why I don't. I bought cookie cutters to do so last year. However, with my current diet, I won't be baking or eating them this year. Maybe next year.

I eat what I want within reason. I strongly try to practice portion control though.

@just4him Yes, I start to feel deprived if I eliminate anything entirely.

@snowy22315 Portion control is good. Right now with the Whole30 diet I'm on, sweets of any kind are off my diet. I really don't miss them.

They sound good. I have to tell people what I am taking to the Christmas party. Decisions, decisions, It will be cookies or a cake I think, unless there are too many coming, then I might have to do something else.

@thislittlepennyearns Yeah, unless too many people are bringing them. I once heard about a potluck where there were 27 kinds of potatoes and little else!!!!

I don't think we'll be making any. Vince has to watch his sugar intake and we might be basically on our own at Christmas so there doesn't seem a lot of point in too much baking. I hope you find some great recipes.
