Do you believe it? Now Tiffany & Co. has a 18K gold paper clip bookmark and it costs $1500 I don't know what they think. Perhaps they think today everybody is quite wealthy I don't know who can be so crazy to spend so much money to buy a paper clip

@ilocosboy ilocosboy, that is good for an earring. Maybe we should all guess what he mind use it for or maybe if he is rich he just bought it because he could and just admires it.

That is a lot for a paper clip. So it is gold but really what is so special about it?

I remember when this was first talked about. It is hilarious, most of the fact that people get so riled up over it. When they don't realize people who have a lot of money, they buy these things to have a statement piece. It is all about attention and conversation. That is why they buy weird art that doesn't make sense. In a way, that expensive yarn, paperclips, whatever else they have, are art pieces, and so the wealthy will get them. Everyone should know by now that Tiffany & Co. isn't for people who don't have a lot of money haha So why even bother getting all upset and crazy about it. It is just a statement piece.

@youless Yep, but hey, people just spend money and don't really care. Some people are fortunate about that.

Seriously $1500? That is absurd. I always lose paper clips. lol. And so even if I am a billionaire, I wouldn't consider buying a gold paper clip.

I guess it's just a gimmick. You wouldn't want to get it mixed up with a heap of other paper clips though would you?

I think it's crazy. We just think it that way because it's a paper clip. I think its the gold that makes it costly. 18K costs $29.66. For collectors items, it could be possible. For there are people who buy even how high is the price.

Even if I have enough money, I won't spend it on just a paper clip, even if it's an 18k gold one.

Anyone who really wants it will find a way. People buy gold to save for later years to resell.I just have no idea how I could not lose this.
