November Crockpot Recipe Report Card

Well it's that time of year again, when it's at the end of the month and the temperatures are getting colder and cooler, even at night-time. Nothing better to warm up with a hot meal to defront and thaw the cold from my body. And all four of my dishes were delicious, including the leftovers, and filled my tummy right to the top. I've also included my final four crockpot dishes to try this year down below for December's top picks. 1. Crockpot Chicken Cacciatore-A+. A real easy meal to make with simple ingredients and a tender piece of shredded chicken on top of delicious pasta like spaghetti and linguine. I had no problem making this dish. Leftovers were to dive for too. 2. Crockpot Turkey Bean Soup--A+. A perfect soup that's filled with yummy ingredients like ground turkey and small pasta shells. It was the perfect meal to have on a cold night from start to finish. Leftovers were amazing and delicious too. 3. Crockpot Sweet Tortilla Soup--A-. This soup is another easy one to make. But the cumin added to the browned ground turkey makes it a bit hot to the taste with a kick. If you add tortilla strips or chips, sour cream and shredded cheddar, it tones down the spiciness to a mild flavor. Leftovers was another hit too to reheat and eat the next day. 4. Crockpot Cheesy Chicken Chowdown--A+. Another great recipe to have with simple ingredients and easy to throw into the crockpot for a few hours. It did keep me full this past weekend and even last night for leftovers, even with the cornbread to top with this scrumptious meal. Now onto my four delicious recipes I'm doing in December, starting this weekend. 1. Crockpot Chicken with Glazed Carrots--Since I won't be going shopping until next week or next weekend, I have all the ingredients in my fridge to make this dish. I've found this recipe on the same Pinterest board with other fl chicken combinations, like I've did earlier this year with the butternut squash. I'll be making it for Sunday night's dinner and start it right before I go to church. 2. Crockpot Baked Ziti--For my final pasta dish of the year, you can't go wrong with having baked ziti even in the oven. I haven't had baked ziti in years, not even at a restaurant. So this would hit the sweet spo for sure. 3. Crockpot Honey Garlic Chicken with Veggies--I saw two Pinterest recipes for this main chicken dish. One with veggies and one without, so I combined the best of both worlds for this one, since they share almost the same ingredients to make it. 4. Crockpot Split Pea Soup--I've shared this link earlier this month with @ShaylovesKay, since she asked me for a crockpot recipe link for split pea soup. It's also our favorite soup. My water aerobics instructor had mentioned it in class before that she made it homemade a year ago--not sure if she said if it was crockpot or by stovetop. That's all I've planned to make for December. I hope to try to eat more fresh recipes and less from healthy frozen food dinners in 2018. I'll be searching for recipes from All Recipes and Yummly for new ideas. Enjoy!

They all sound quite good. I am buying myself a new crockpot for Christmas. I just threw mine away..it was rusting on the bottom, and starting to flake off..they don't cost that much. I think a new one is in order.

Only four per month. Well, not sure about vegetarian. I do add a pasta dish every now and then.

I guess you can't really call it "baked" ziti if it is in the crock pot though. You had great success this month though.

Hmm. Yeah I did. I don't think I have any redemption recipes yet to redo, except for the white pizza. So I might throw that on my list for next month or next year. Well, it's baked and slow cooked in the crockpot.

I'm always impressed with what you do with your crock pot. I will have to get stuff next week for my crock pot.

Aww thanks April. I hope to do more breakfast and dessert dishes next year. Go for it; and we can swap recipes for sure.
