A couple of years ago, after Xmas, I took some of my Christmas cash and went to Target to cash in on the after Christmas sales. I bought some Christmas jammies that were on clearance like 75 percent off. I was dismayed when I got home and tried them on they were way too tight to wear. I don't think I could have returned them..and I wasn't going to wait in that line anyway. I resolved that I would be able to wear them at some point in the future..I am not sure if I tried them on last year..but I did put them on last night..I have dropped like 10-15 pounds since Xmas two years ago just by paying more attention to what I put in my mouth at any point in time, being mindful so to speak. Anyway, jammies fit fine on the bottom..but I probably need another inch gone on the torso for them to be comfortable. I wore them..but had a garment under the top so I didn't have to button them all the way..Do you try on clothes again if they don't fit at first..especially if you know you have lost some weight?

Sometimes, but usually I don't hang onto them that long - I'd have already donated it.

I don't donate them..they can be an incentive if it something you really want to fit into. I have a few things like that. Who am I kidding? more than a few lol..but I will at some point for sure.

I am a bit of a clothes horse so to speak..but I come by it honestly, my mom is very much the same way...in fact...she is way worse than I am..you rarely see her in the same outfit twice.

I have rarely taken clothes back. I keep them..I have like 5 pairs of black jeans..I really need to figure out which ones fit, and which don't/

Yes, somethings I have grown out of or have never worn I now can wear. It is a good feeling. I would rather wear clothes I have already purchased then buy new,,,that is for sure!

Yes, I do, to verify if indeed I've lost some weight based on my weighing scale.

well a clothes fit can be a good indicator of weight gain or loss too.

A year ago, I got myself a second hand pair of jeans. I'd been extremely sick and had lost about 15 pounds. I usually don't wear jeans, but these fit me like a glove:) Now, I'm back on track with my health, feeling about 10 times better. Also, I've gained back about five pounds, which means those jeans will no longer fit! Do I care? Heck no, my health is a lot more important, than a silly pair of pants!

They really can be called brand new jammies since they fit now!!! I tried on a skirt this morning to see if it still fit. What a relief it did. I could stand to lose a few pounds for some other clothing I have that are a bit too tight.

Some of the clothes here are from my sister. She made me promise her NOT to chuck them out. Funny thing, since some didn't fit at the time she gave me, but now, I could wear them fine. Quite a few pretty tunics and dresses.

@snowy22315 I am surprised really. But that sister of mine does have some psychic power (she would say something weird, and it would happen. A bit scary at times!).

Often I do not like to throw clothes that I used years ago. My weight only goes up and down from 2 to 4 pounds, it's not a big deal, usually what used to fit, still fits.

@snowy22315 When I see that I am gaining 1 or 2 pounds, I stop eating some things for a couple of weeks and I go back to my normal weight.

I sometimes do but often I've moved them on before I manage to lose enough weight to fit in them.

Congratulations on the weight loss. I never buy clothes unless I try them on and my weight stays the same, give or take five pounds or so.

I used to have some pink Guess jeans. I loved them. Every year I would try them on, but never could fit in them again. A couple of years ago I gave them away. I had two pairs of jeans that I loved too. A few weeks ago, I was going to wear one pair and found out I can't wear them anymore. I'm giving those away. But I do have clothes that I have had since the 1990's that I can still wear.
