The First Snow

This year the snow arrived earlier. Although it didn’t fall much and the rain washed it out few hours later, my little one still got to see the flakes for the first time. It was unexpected by most of us as weather forecast mentioned no snow this week, or the week after. It’s freezing cold outside and there is still chance for more. Maybe it will be all white when we wake up. How is the weather in your area?

Belgium is slightly warmer than Germany and Denmark. We might not have as much snow as you do.

@Madshadi Today there is only a slight covering of snow. As far as I know, there are no mountains to speak of in Belgium. So you may not experience really low temperatures as the Germans can have in the Alps, for example.

It's so fun when the little ones see snow for the first time. It's cool enough for a coat, but not really cold.

While winter does not officially start until Dec. 21, the weather is wintry with wind and cold. We have already had snow several times. It will continue like this till early May.

My weather is scary. Yesterday morning the roads were ice rinks. I drove so slow and shook the whole way. Right now it is raining. By morning the temps will be below freezing so I bet the roads will be horrible again.

In Michigan, it's definitely cold enough to snow, about 34 degrees Fahrenheit. For us, having snow the first part of December is common. This year, we don't have any yet!:)Our yard, two winters back in this picture.
