Mailbox is Lonely: 'How does it feel?'

I woke up this morning with a crazy thought in my mailbox. It has been in years that I had never received slow mail. The only thing that I can have are the utility bills and needs to be paid in particular payment due dates.lol At the back of my mind, I am kind of missing Mr. Postman lurking around the neighborhood and smile as he handed a letter. Now, it is long gone. Have you seen Mr. Postman today? Is your mailbox looks lonely today? Image Credit: pixabay.com

Ours pass by daily, with helmet and on a motorbike. He/she waved at us now and then, we waved back out of politeness.

@Shavkat There seem to be 4 rounds or so of delivering posts here this time of the year (Christmas time).

I forgot to check the mail yesterday but I love when I do get mail especially if it’s packages.

We have a mail box in our apartment and it is always filled with bills.. No letters from relatives or friends, only bills... Maybe, Mailbox nowadays is just intended for bills...

@Shavkat I think nobody now wants to send a letter thru snail mail because we can always talk to our love ones thru our cellphones...

That's no problem for me as today people hardly send mails. Usually I just receive the bills by mails and that's all. I don't often receive letters from friends. Since there is the internet, people don't contact with mails any more.

Yeah mailbox is not popular now with text messages and email. It's easier to communicate with people. I received mails for my brother for his insurance using LBC

It is a sad part. I assume most Postmen are out of job now. I think communication is more convenient nowadays.

I live in an apartment and our mailbox is downstairs at the lobby so we don't get to interact with the postman. But we still get lots of snail mails in the mailbox.

It is nice that Mr. Postman is still active in your country. In my country, they are not that active anymore. It was just remembering the old days and thinking that I am lucky for seeing them during the old days.

I hardly see the mailman come drop off mail to our building. I met one once and he knew all of our names and those that left as well. I have never asked my mailbox if he is lonely and never thought of it till today. Maybe I should ask my mailbox if he is lonley.
