Earlier today I had to drive to Gainesville GA which is a good 50 minute drive from where I live. I had my yearly Specialist Doctor's appointment with my Thyroid Doctor.
A year ago, I had a doctor refer me to this doctor cause I had what he thought was an enlarged portion of the Thyroid. Luckily, nothing was majorly wrong last year.
But, you know how it is. Once you see a doctor like that, they want to see you on a yearly basis.
So, today, I had an ultrasound on my Thyroid , saw the doctor and had blood taken in the Lab. The ultrasound is ok. It looks ok. The blood work still needs to be analyzed and the Doctor will send me the results in the mail.
I hope the blood work comes back negative. I am thinking it will, because my neck is not feeling bad.

Mostly yes, good news. I still need to get the results of the blood test. I am not too worried about that.

Yes, I had to go to that doctor because they didn't have that type of doctor in my town.

The thyroid gland can affect a person's body, in many ways! My friend takes iodine each day and now she feels just fine:)

There was a time they thought I had some lung problem, they made me return every few months and the result was always negative. After a year or so like that, I got sick of those routine visits and decided to not turn up any more.

I also have dealt with thyroid problems, and it's not fun. I hope your results are great.
