'Locks of Love, Refused My Long Hair'

A couple months ago, I wrote a discussion about donating my very, long hair to 'Locks of Love.' This is an organization that accepts long, locks of hair, to make wigs for people who have lost their hair, because of a traumatic illness. Many who are diagnosed with cancer, end up losing their hair while going through intense, kemo-therapy treatments. I donated my long hair one time and felt pretty good about it. This time, the beautician said that I couldn't donate, because I've used permanent coloring on my hair. It has to be untouched by any dye or peroxide, which I didn't know:( Oh well, that's all right! I will just keep my hair, even though I'm a bit disappointed about this

There is another charity out there that takes hair regardless of whether it has been coloured or not. I just did a search and Children With Hair Loss accepts all hair donations even if the hair has been dyed at some point if you're still interested in donating.

@UncleJoe Years back, I put my hair in teeny tiny braids for Halloween and went to work. The one lady asked, 'Is that your real hair?' A man asked, 'Why are you dressed like that?' I told him, I wanted to look odd. Ed replied, 'You do!'
