Hardly anyone decorates their house.

We got a picture of two houses and that is it so far. No one seems to decorate their houses here like they did in Colorado. So only two house so far is better than no houses. The kid across the street was yelling at his parents. He said no one knows who did it and somebody did it. That reminded me of my kids. They used to say I didn't do it. Funny how kids always say those things no matter who's kids they are. The picture is mine taken by me.

@crossbones27 North Korean leader seems to not have thought things through. If he bombs the US, all other countries will lose some monies because all central banks hold currencies of other nations, especially dollars. When dollar becomes worthless, (presuming the fatso bombs the US), the wealth of all the nations would drop. In the process, the value of their currency too. Inflation would burst at seams in every country. Add to that wiping out of ongoing contracts, and anticipated receipts, we are looking at inflation behaving like the Joker in Batman like it happened in Brazil a few years ago. No country would be willing to import anything meaning taxes would be increased on imports. That would mean the North Korean produce has no demand. North Korean currency would anyway be too hot to touch out of fears. So it would plummet in value. Has the fatso taken into account all such implications? I wonder if he understands at all.

not seen many domestic Xmas lights on here a yet - saw lots in Manchester that match this classic lights switch on scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Simply decorated but nice just the same. Here in Latvia pretty much no one decorates their houses. In our neighborhood in the suburbs it is always dark and quiet. One neighbor used to put lovely colored lights on this big fir tree in front of their house but no more for many years now. The only exciting thing during the holidays that happens here is that on New Year's Eve you can go out into the street and see fireworks going up all over the place.
Probably, their children are not going home this holiday season. Sometimes, when we (with my siblings) don't go home, my parents don't decorate their place. Because of old age, they have a hard time moving. I'll help them decorate on the 20th and we'll help them remove the decorations before I leave their place on the 2nd of January.
