It is a great Sunday to eat out. I had been working for the whole week and need to reward myself. Now, I am having dinner at Igorot Park, Camp John Hay, Baguio, Philippines. I decided to have ‘Talangka’ or Crab Rice and Kahlua Batirol for dinner. It wasn’t that pricey and the most important is to digest a proper meal. I hope you like the food presentation of this restaurant. What’s your dinner, guys? Image Credit: Shavkat

It wasn't spicy. I am not fond of having one. It basically tastes a bit salty and sweet by having some of the fried bananas.

This is the meal. Actually, there is no crab shell. It is the crab eggs in the middle of the plate. I like 'sinigang miso.' Did you cook it?

It was like craving something. But then, we need to be cautious in eating the crab eggs. It is a high content of bad cholesterol.

It was the type of banana that we called 'saba." It was cut into halves, fried and sprinkled with sugar.

Actually, it is just a staple rice with crab eggs in the middle. They had just joined the name 'talangka' or crab eggs with side dish on the plate. I am on a diet, my friend. I don't need to consume food more than this.lol

I think it is a special dish in the resto. It is quite easy to prepare but the presentation is the only difference. The 'talangka' or crab eggs seems like a curry taste but not that spicy.

i've only seen taba ng talangka (crab fat/crab roe) in bottles. i didn't know it's served with kalamansi. is kahlua batirol chocolate or coffee?

Oh, sorry. The 'Kahlua batirol' is one of the drinks offered in the resto. It is like a choco latte. I also like the crab eggs in bottles, but it wasn't that pure. I think it is mixed with flour.
