I Have To Do It!

Early this morning, still dark and under the moonlight I passed a deer standing on the side of the road, she jumped and ran into the bushes. 10 miles down the road stood another deer, a small male deer, A spike. When he seen my headlights he jump straight up about three feet off the ground, landed and did the dodge this way and then the other way, while it looked like it was shaking, then it ran into the bushes, I could not help but laugh because I really did scare this deer, it was like I yelled "boo." So since that was at 4 am I think I will have to say goodnight to all or good Morning to all. OHHH! The walking dead season finale is next Sunday but it was pretty good tonight. Read you tomorrow!

That is so cool that you see deer in this way. The only thing I've seen in our area are coyotes and raccoons.

Those poor deer, it's a shame they don't know what headlights are.

I wonder what goes thru their minds when they see a car, that little one was probably thinking YIKES! We have a park not too far from here, right beside a terribly busy street, but its fenced in, and there are lots of deer in there. I love to drive by slowly to catch a glimpse, one of these days I'll go for a walk in there. Some of them are so large that they have antlers.

I love it when I spot deer. We used to have them in our backyard all the time. Deer, foxes, coyotes, and out by the church we had some roadrunners.

There are herds of deer here, sometimes you have to stop because they are all standing in the road.

The moon was so bright the past two nights that you can see in the dark like it was early day.

I had a deer run into me one year and it was scary, after having that happen I keep my eyes on both sides of the road and hit the brakes when I see one thinking about jumping out in front of me.

In one area we slow down a little more because we know they are there.

@andriaperry There are areas that I drive in often and where I was hit the first time, so I know what you mean, I slow down in the 20 to 30 miles of wilderness where I see the deer in groups. its usually in the late summer and fall when we see them... i also avoid night driving in the wilderness...

4am? I hope you'll be able to sleep in. The kangaroos duck and dive too if they are scared by car lights.

Oh my that must be a good thing to have deer in the area. In our place, it cannot stand 2 minutes and the deer is already slaughtered. maybe this is the reason why our native deer is on extinction.
