With the 22 canned goods it completely erased my library fine but it was a pain carrying the big heavy bag to the library and some cans fell out in the library parking lot.I had to go back and get 3 cans.I had set the bag on the counter when going back so I didn't have to worry about the big bag anymore.Every 1 item is $1 off your library fine.

That was a lot of library fines! There have been times the kids have lost books in our family. I've told them if they lose them, they pay for them (this applies to the older kids, not those under 5 years old). Usually after we pay for a lost book, we find it the next day! Grrr!

@workathomefan Yeah, those fines can be killer. We once lost a book and I offered to replace it by ordering a new copy through Amazon. The library said no, they had to buy the book. Their copy cost around $15 The copy I could have bought through Amazon was around $8-9!!

Did you already have the food? That's a good system, but I don't know that I have ever had a library fine. I know my sister did!
