'High Winds out of the West, Today!'

Last night, I went to sleep listening to strong winds blowing outside! I was just happy to be snuggled up in my warm bed, instead of being outdoors. This morning, we are still getting some powerful gusts, that seem to be coming out of the west. Our weather man's forecast said this would happen and end up bringing in some colder temperatures. This isn't a surprise to me, as we are about to head into the second week of December. Michigan usually has at least a few inches of snow, by this time each year.

Wow, those are some really tall trees. I wish I had some that tall, my elms which I thought were kinda tall would look like dwarfs compared with these. It's colder here as well but I am glad we are not getting the winds just yet. One weather service thinks it might snow here tomorrow but I think that is a load of kadunk.
I am looking at your impressive trees. I have not seen a snowflake since 2012 in my place, and I would prefer to not see any. It is nice to have snow for Christmas, but it quickly turns to a disaster here : last time the city had not even sand to put in the streets, and people do not know how to drive on snow in this area.

I've seen that snow coming across from Minnesota and either going north into Canada or across the UP. We don't have any yet, but there were flurries this morning. We had those high gusts yesterday too. The forecast I read said 33 degrees for the temp and 32 mph for wind. Everything was blowing here. This morning I woke up to 21 degrees and 13 wind chill. The gusts were calmed down, but still a bit windy, just not like yesterday. I dressed warm for my trip to the pool. I have my thermal shirt on under my sweater.
