Ah, yes, today was supposed to have a high in the low 30's, with a bitter wind chill Instead, it's a nice, sunny day with a slight breeze. It was cold last night, however, enough that it froze parts of the creek behind us. By the time I got my phone, the ice had all been melted by the sun. So here's a photo of the creek, sans ice.

@teamfreak16 In January and February the lakes in the parks here freeze over, but not that big old Lake Michigan since the wind and the waves keep Lake Michigan from freezing over. On a few occasions it has been about 90% frozen, but not totally. The waves that hit the shore freeze up a bit making a nice line of frozen stuff, though. We skated on the lakes in the parks here in the suburbs in winter. Never fell through.

We have a lake in our town which usually freezes over in January. One time I saw these kids walk out onto the ice and fall into the lake. Fortunately for them it was only waist deep, but those kids had to be cold! I guess you will be getting some snow soon...
