As promised, the list of "no surprises" continues at the top of this list of my favorite songs with the word "back" in the title. I was inspired to do this after my back gave me some issues. The back is fine today (well, as fine as it can be), and I got a great countdown out of it!! Here's today's no-shock song. #2: Lookin' Out My Back Door - Creedence Clearwater Revival How "un-shocking" is this pick? When I announced this countdown, @JohnRoberts picked this as a song that could show up. See, there's no surprise. And why would there be a surprise? This is one of the great classic songs in American rock and roll music, performed by one of the absolute best bands we ever gave rock and roll...or any other kind of music. The B-side of this song (not that I ever had the 45...and I didn't, but my brother did ) is another terrific CCR song: "Long As I Can See the Light," which I've used in countdowns as well. One of the best one-two punches of a 45 I've ever seen. Man, what a song. Lookin' Out My Back Door Written by John C. Fogerty Recorded by Creedence Clearwater Revival From Cosmo's Factory, 1971 Listenin' to Buck Owens:

I always liked this song, even though it has such a country sound to it. Sorry, I just don't like country music.

It's hard for a song to not sound country when mentioning Buck Owens!! Plus, the dobro just adds to that feel.

I wasn't exactly expecting this, as I spaced it out, but am not surprised.

#2 on your countdown and #2 on the pop billboard charts. Now that's some symmetry, lol.
