A viewing this afternoon

Crap I forgot about this until right now. My cousin’s wife’s grandfather passed away and the viewings are today. One is from 2-4 and the other is 7-9. I will go to the afternoon one straight from work. My husband will go to the night one when he gets back from work. I’m glad I remembered this. It would be a terrible thing if I didn’t make an appearance to give my condolences to the family.

I don't mean to be disrespectful but the title of your post makes me think of Stephanie Plum's grandmother's hobby of going to viewings and trying to get into closed caskets (Janet Evanovich's series of books).

@NJChicaa There's 23 of them now, plus 3 extra shorter ones that squeeze into the numbering by a half. There's a lot of funny stuff in them, but there's serious stuff, too.

It's always a very touching thing, when people do show up at these viewings. It displays an act of caring.
