Cure for cramps

I had some friends over and the main topic of discussion was health considering we are all seniors. The common issue that we all shared was about cramps. It was agreed that the tablets one takes for control of Blood Pressure cause these cramps. One of them suggested that there is a way out for getting rid of cramps and that is to bend one's toes backwards as far as possible, in a sleeping position. That worked for me. How do you take care of cramps? .

Bending my toes back eases it momentarily for me. But I still have to walk it off.

I am a banana eater too but does not seem to work with me. Potassium makes sense though.

There are many different kind of cramps. Leg cramps are terrible and bending the toes back gets rid of the spasm. Drinking lots of water helps prevent them.

Bending the toes backwards, add turning the feet in circular way might be still better.

Oh, maybe that is the reason for not getting this these days. I am not using any tablets also. But doing some simple yoga postures.

@allknowing Just bending my feet forward and backward. Not only the toe but the whole foot.

@shivamani10 That is what I say in this post. You possibly cannot bend toes back and forth without bending the foot. but the emphasis is on the toes.

I'll have to try that one? I usually find that pushing my foot flat against something hard works, like getting out of bed pushing my foot against the floor.

I have leg cramps the other day. It was very painful. I think it's due to cold weather so I try to wear leg warmers

Cold weather is one of the reasons and keeping one's legs warm is the solution.
