Aren't you excited!!! And I’m really getting behind with my posts. However, I am determined to catch up with all of it in the next few days. I got so involved with my Ancestry search today, having found two relatives. One is alive and well and living in…I really don’t know where he lives now. But, we are emailing. The other relative is buried in a cemetery only 11 miles from my house. I found that out today. However, I’m still thinking of new Daily Posts that will keep me busy all winter. So, here goes: ALABAMA: Known as the Yellowhammer State for its State bird. Some “famous” people who were born in Alabama: Hank Aaron, famous baseball player: Tallulah Bankhead: famous actress: Harper Lee, an author who wrote: “To Kill a Mockingbird:” Joe Louis, a famous Boxer and of course, Rosa Parks, civil rights activist. A few facts about Alabama: Workers in Alabama actually built the rocket that put the first man on the moon. Dr. Luther Leonidas Hill performed the first open heart surgery that was done in the Western Hemisphere, in 1902, in Montgomery, Alabama The name, Alabama comes from the Native American Creek language and means “tribal town.” What else do you know about Alabama? Have you ever been to the state of Alabama?

Alabama is in the news around the world because of the special senatorial elections to be held and the controversial issue about Roy Moore.
