Eating Too Much Meat Caused Weight Gain

After cutting back on meats I lost weight. Very Fast! After years of trying to lose weight. Eating too much meat can indeed cause weight gain. I do understand eating too much of anything can also cause you to gain weight.

that's why they say to eat in SMALL portions & eat more fruits & veggies than anything else.

Yes for a long time I wasn't aware of that. Growing up we ate lots of meats all day long! They are very fatty.

@Fitlife but one steak from time to time won't do much harm.

Especially during holidays. I try to move more during holidays because of increase in food intake during holidays.

I don't eat that much meat but I think I am having issues with sugar.

I tend to agree. I have been meat free for about 16 years and managed to be overweight most of those years. Mainly because I love cheese and carbs!

Since I turned semi - vegetarian (I eat fish some times) fourteen years ago, I have maintained my ideal weight - no problem.
