So Simple

We were sitting around over coffee and one woman mentioned how every time she talks to her son she feels like committing suicide. He blames her for everything, from the day he was born until yesterday. Another jumped in with a similar kind of story. Recounting the torture of having to speak to her daughter. And then, the third woman said; "Stop calling them." Of course the excuses began to pile up like cigarette ash, but like cigarette ash, they had no real value. And I realise, why do I bother to make contact with people who only attack, accuse and upset? Just because we may share blood doesn't give them a right to disturb my peace of mind.

Absolutely!! No use trying to keep something alive that only kills you inside.

The only reason I see to speak to people who bring me down is to share the gospel with them since they clearly need to find Jesus. =)
