Murdering love couple

A pathetic incident occurred today.A love couple has been beaten and the boy has been burnt alive for inter religion marriage.Is this 21st century?How can some 3rd person decide whom to marry?Marriage is my right.The persons who are indulged in these sort of activities should be severely punished.
