Have you met couples where one is so nice and the other so mean?

I had a friend and her brother was so so mean but when he got married he married a very nice lady. He was very nice to here but not nice to others. I feel that couple downstairs is like that and wondered how can he be married to her. She is mean. This is the one that went hysterical and would not let me get my cat out. He tried to calm her down but she kept crying and getting more and more hysterical and she was geting me very angry so we had words. They have a baby too. I wonder how children in those homes grow up. I was married to a person that could charm people but he was a real jerk and we are no longer married. Life is hard enough for people have a mean partner.
