How many like to go to a store and buy things or ask someone to make them for you?

I love to design things to have put on mugs, t-shirts, pillows. I can have what I really want on them and do not have to buy what is out there. So, how many of you prefer to do that if you have someone or you can do it yourself and just go and have them put on something or just buy what is out there?
