Good Morning and Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone!
Brrr it's cold here this morning with an overcast sky and the chance of snow flurries later in the day. There might be a possibility of a bit of snow tomorrow but right now it's iffy whether it will just be some scattered flurries or maybe enough to put an inch or two on the ground. Flurries don't bother me but anything that accumulates will keep me home and I really wanted to go out and buy my new dryer.
So far I'm making pretty good headway with my Christmas shopping and am down to the last few people on my list. I haven't even given a thought to writing out my Christmas cards but got my first one in the mail yesterday.
I think I have enough wrapping paper and holiday gift bags to get me through but unless I start wrapping I won't know for sure.
My plans for today is to make a list of everything that still needs to get done and then I'll have a better idea visually of where I'm at.
I hate being so focused on Christmas and my head feels like it could explode at times while the usual daily goings on are all on the back burner.
Now I'm going to enjoy my coffee, give myself a decent amount of time to spend here and then get on with the day.
Is Christmas taking up a lot of room in your head too?

Alittle bit, I ordered my sons gift yesterday along with my crockpot. My big frustration is having my oven out of commission. A friend is going to fix it January 2 unless I can get someone sooner. I wish I could be baking things, however the convection oven should help.

Now that I'm feeling better, I am going to enjoy the season fully.
Next week I'll bring some baking into work to enjoy at our Monday Morning Meeting, and next Saturday is our family party-with my in-laws and all of the nieces and nephews and greats. There are a lot of us, so we hold it in a hall and all bring a dish. I'm really looking forward to it. I have a gift that should be delivered here today, and a couple of small things left to purchase and then that is it.

Happy Friday! I love Christmas but I've got a later start on it than usual. I only have bought a few gifts. Just got my sister's birthday present sent - it's on the 13th. I have to wait for my next social security deposit to finish shopping. I do it all online, anyway. My friend and I may go thrift shopping or dollar store for more wrapping and gift boxes. Sometimes you can spot good "extra" gifts at those places too. I haven't sent out any cards, so I'm not really sure I'm going to this year.

The only thing taking up room in my head is tomorrow's brunch. I'm very excited about that. Good luck with buying the new dryer. I hope the snow holds off long enough for you to get it. Have fun wrapping presents.

I'm staying in until later. The snow is still falling...but it's the high winds that make it so nasty out. Drifting and blowing snow.
I'm warm and toasty inside. The CD player playing carols...candles in the fireplace so it looks like I have a fire....soup on the stove (homemade turkey vegetable) and the crockpot just filled with tonight's supper (chili).
Yup! Today, life is good.
