That Wonderful, Disrespectful Timer

Okay, the timer on the computer is working great, except when I'm in the middle of a word and it suddenly goes green screen on me.
However, have you ever thought about what you can do in two minutes? I found I can be very creative with those two minutes. I can empty the dishwasher, straighten up, grab a quick snack - fruit of course, even use the bathroom.
Sometimes I use the timer to just let the computer go idle and get some in depth cleaning done, take a nap, and do whatever it takes to get this apartment in top shape for tomorrow.
It can be very disrespectful in that it doesn't care what you're doing, if your time is up, it goes green screen no matter what you're doing. It did that during my Daily Bible Study this morning. I was almost finished and there I was, staring at the green screen. Had to wait two minutes to finish.
The timer does give me the opportunity, though to get up, stretch and get the kinks out of my knees, and that's the most important thing. I'm not in any danger of it going off at the moment, as it just did it's thing.
Now, I have the notifications finished. I'm going to ignore the computer completely and let it go idle while I finish with the vacuuming and then the apartment will be completely ready for tomorrow. Then I'm going to watch my Christmas movie and with plenty of time, get some writing done for the first time in four days.
If I don't make it back here today, have a great rest of your day, and I will see you tomorrow early for the Daily Bible Study, but I won't be hanging around until after my guests leave as they are expected by 10 AM.
How has your day been. Have you achieved any goals for today? Thanks for reading.

It's amazing how long a minute really is. Time does seem to fly.

Hmm I'd probably use those two minutes going to the kitchen and get some snacks or drink something.

Now that's a good achievement. It really is, though I turned it off this morning so I could get my Bible Study done before it gave me the green screen. I suspect it will go off again soon though.

For me that would be annoying and distracting in some ways and then good in others as it would maybe help me plan and space my time out better. Today has been an OK day. Just getting some online stuff done with eBay etc that I have been needing to get done.

Everything is ready. Right now, I'm just waiting to start cooking. The brunch is at 10 and it's only 6 AM.

We make our (instant) coffee in the microwave and in the two minutes it takes to heat I can actually get quite a lot done. If you stand there waiting two minutes takes forever but it's surprising how much I can get done if I buzz around.

Sometimes, I use a timer also, and it's quite amazing what can be done. I hope your brunch goes well. God bless you.

Thank you. All I need to do is start cooking. Still too early for that.
