My list of "what next???"

I had PT today for my shoulder which went well. Many of you know I had shoulder surgery for a major, rotator cuff tear eight weeks ago. Then the day after Thanksgiving, I was in the ER with a kidney stone which quickly turned into a massive infection and septic shock when my bp dropped too low. Got a stent put in and survived the infection because of God's great mercy and healing. (Doctors said I came close to not surviving.) Came home with the stent and tons of antibiotics and meds. Have an appt next Wednesday to remove the offending kidney stone. Oh, I hadn't been home from the hospital long when I came down with Shingles on my hip and Thrush on my tongue. I couldn't help but think, "Lord, what next?" Well, this morning I woke up (which is always a good thing) and realized I had an Aura in my vision. These visual flashes of light sometimes precede a Migraine headache. I took some Excedrine Migraine med and got my husband to pray for me. The thought of that extremely painful headache on top of everything else was almost more than I could stand! God answered our prayers and the aura finally went away without more pain. I know that some of you are going through far more painful and life-threatening issues and illnesses. And none of us truly know what our future holds. But I do know that even if God chooses not to heal me of everything, I know He said He would never leave me nor forsake me. That's a promise I bet my life on.

Migraines are miserable. People who’ve never had one just cannot understand. I know how bad a cluster headache feels, with or without the aura. My prayers for improvement.

Thank you. I've had several auras, but only one turned into a migraine. Worst pain of my life, right up there with the kidney stone episode. At least with the stone, the doctors didn't waste time before giving me Morphine. With the migraine, they kept testing for all kinds of things and when several hours had passed, I was over the worst of it.

Nice to see the strong faith that you have! I agree with, come fire or high water and no matter what else, we are never alone if we put our trust in Him at all times. He will be there to give us what He decides is best for us.

A migraine on top of all that would have been awful. I do hope your troubles disappear one by one - or even all at once would be good.
