I was looking at the delightful picture JJ shared with us on his bird post just now and it reminded me of a memory I will share with you.
Back when I was still with my ex(pre 1996) he and I used to enjoy afternoon drives in the foothills here locally. One day he spotted an entire mountain side of deer and pointed the ridge out to me. I don't know if the cataract I have in one eye now was a problem way back then or not but, for the life of me, I could not see one deer on that ridge. Really! When I finally did focus in on them there were many too.
He teased me unmercifully and I never lived that down.(It happened several times.) I just am not a good deer spotter. Frustrating? Yes!

I can't see anything my friend points out to me either. "Where? What? I don't see it."

@BarBaraPrz ......That's what he had to do. I just couldn't see them for the longest time. Then I focused in on them.

We have lots of deer out where we live. They are terrible to run out in front of cars, but so beautiful to look at.

@celticeagle I often fail to see things people point to even when the objects, people or places later seem obvious

Thankfully, I am good at spotting them. It’s kept me from hitting one more than once.
