Mostly a member of the family is the molester of our children. Why?

In many families there are molesters of children within the family. They molest children in the absence of their parents. In front of the parents they are very decent. Some children are threatened that they or their family will be in big trouble if the child informs it to the parents. Mostly the molesters will be their own uncle, grandfather, or a family friend who are very near to the family and they trust them very much. How should a child handle such a situation. Why does the family member become a molester? How can children tell about the problem they are facing in the absence of their parents? What is the apt punishment the parents can give to the molester who is a member of the family?

That's so horrible thing to happen to a child. I think some schools are educating the children on what to do if they are in such situation.

@Daelii I do agree with you. Some children kept the abuse because of fear.

@rubyriaz007 Perhaps because children trust their elders.

Kids do not talk because they know this person is close to the family and some members of the family do not even believe the kids. I think we should just advice the kids not to be scared when any family member molests them they should talk about it.
