Oh The Weather Outside is Frightful

Happy Saturday everyone. We are at the beginning of the first major snowstorm of the season. The entire state will be getting 3-6 inches. We are located in the central hills and will probably get closer to the 6 inches.
We moved both of the cars off the driveway so that the man who plows will be able to just come in and plow both sides of our driveway. We are prepared tittle dogs and just enjoy the beauty of the weather, we have no commitments today. I so have theater tickets for early tomorrow afternoon, I am not sure what will happen with that. The snow is not scheduled to stop until late morning tomorrow.
I do love the way the world looks with fresh snow on it, so clean and pretty.

It is frightful if you have to drive out, I agree, inside here it's delightful and beautiful and yes it helps the ski slopes for sure.

@amadeo lol I have all-wheel drive as well but we live in the hills and it can be quite a challenge.

I wouldn't want to trade our 80 degree weather for yours but would borrow a day of snowfall to stamp out the fires.

We got 5-6 inches here, and it's still falling almost 26 hours later. This is the longest time for snow fall since I moved here from the northeast. All week the weathermen kept saying it would only be a dusting. But Mike and I saw it was coming up from the gulf and when storm of any kind come from that area we generally get a good storm. It is beautiful. Be safe.

No, driving in snow is not fun especially since so many people thinking that with 4 wheel drive they can drive like a maniac. lol

We use all weather tires so we don't use snow tires but we did have them rotated.

@BelleStarr Until two years ago the "all weather" were accepted, no more now, in winter if you do not wear certified winter tires and you have an accident the Insurance company can legally refuse to pay you.

It is a live theater show at the CT Repertory Theater so I really hope so since this is the last day it will be playing. If not, oh well, I will see the Shakespeare show that will be playing when I get back in April.

Snow is gorgeous to look at and the individual flakes are all different and we used to catch them with our tongue when we were children.

That looks like ice on the windshield and sleet and ice scare me the most. Snow is beautiful as long as I don't have to go out in it.

It is wet slushy snow but now there are 6 inches of it on everything. The roads, however, are 29 degrees which means that there is ice under the snow.

There was snow here in the wee hours of Saturday morning with a trace being recorded along the coastline to almost two inches in Century in the North end of the count near the Florida Alabama line. The news report stated that this was the sixth measurable snowfall since recording began in 1948. There was one spot in the retention pond area behind us that looked like a patch of snow (it disappear a little later) For the most part the ground wasn't could enough in most places though there were pictures of where it did cover the ground for a while.

My brother sent me pictures of his home outside Atlanta and he got as much snow as we did, today we have rain.
