Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a great start. It is 32 degrees F (freezing) and just starting to snow here. Awesome. I woke up a bit later than I had hoped this morning so the crush was on to get my Christmas cookies made for the cookie swap today. They are in the oven baking at the moment. Today is the famous "Christmas Ravioli Day" in my family. We all get together and bang out almost 1000 homemade spinach/ricotta/meat ravioli that we then have as part of our Christmas dinner. It is a beloved tradition--both the making of them and eating them on Christmas! We use the scraps from trimming the ravioli and the extra pasta to make a fresh pasta dinner. Yum--fettucine with pesto, potato, and pignoles! I might have to miss it, though, to come meet the people to install the new dishwasher. Whatever. I'll just be happy to have a new working dishwasher. What are you all up to today?

Lovely tradition you got there. Nothing much planned for me today. I will be swinging by the mall to get a pair of black pants for a party I'm attending. That's about it. A trip to the gym in the afternoon. myLot this morning.

@NJChicaa not sure what I'll be doing but it is a choice between deadlifts-over head press or squats-bench press plus some accessory work either boxing or muay thai. Or I can just do some isolation exercises and work on three body parts.

That is a really neat tradition your family has. You sure waited until the last minute to get those cookies made BUT they will be nice and fresh!

@NJChicaa mine won’t either as it’s too chilly in my kitchen so I always have to soften it in the microwave slightly.

What a cool family tradition! I have never made ravioli. I always get them frozen, heh heh. I bet yours are really good. Your Christmas dinner sounds "different" and delicious! I'm glad you're getting your new dishwasher.. Other than getting my laundry done, I don't know what I'm up to. I do need to wrap my son in law's gifts. I might do some more Christmas ordering, but I'm almost out of moolah, yikes!

It is something that I grew up with so it is normal to me. My husband doesn't like them and wishes I would buy frozen ravioli at some point during the year. (I would NEVER) It is so much fun when we get together and do it.

They smelled really good. I left them all at my sisters and never even grabbed one to eat!
