Do you still send Christmas cards?

I might have seen a discussion related to this a couple of days ago, and if it is a duplicate, I am sorry. I send them..but usually only to those who send them to me. Stamps cost a lot these days, and I would rather send ecards most of the time. That reminds me..I have an online pal who used to send me a lot of ecards I guess I need to send one to her! It is really nice to find a card in your mailbox though..It brightens the house up to put them out too..

I still send cards. If I didn't I'd have no contact at all with some old friends and I think that would be a shame. I could always ring them occasionally I guess but somehow that doesn't seem to happen.

I would have to keep track of a bunch of addressess. I don't want to do that.

@snowy22315 I have them all in an address book so it's easy for me. Sending cards does seem to be going out of favour and I can understand that. I guess being older a lot of our friends aren't computer-literate either.

I gradually went from sending cards to family far away to not mailing any at all.

If I'm sure that it will reach the recipients on time, I would. However, I know how bad our postal system is so I do not.

I definitely send, and love receiving them as well. Sent out about 20-25 this year. Only received two, but received about 6 thank yous.

I do send a few out, although since most are international the postage is quite high.

I send out cards every year for every occasion but starting this Christmas season I am cutting back. I will no longer send cards to people that don't acknowledge them. Last year I received one card for Christmas and that was from my sister. I sent out about 20. This year I'm cutting my list down to about 5. I also used to send my nieces and nephews birthday cards with a little money in them but they were never acknowledged so I stopped that, too. I used to love to hang my Christmas cards up but no one send them anymore even though they receive them from me. Pretty sad what the digital age has done to us.

I always send them to those who send to me..but maybe not right away..My nephews lose or don't spend money or items I send to them..so no presents for them. They are both unbelieveably spoiled anyway..although nice kids in their own way.

Shamefully, I have not been sending out christmas cards! Its sad that the tradition is going down in England due to rising stamp prices!

Yes, I think some people still them, and they are nice to receive but I don't think anyone sends as many as they used to.

I do before but now that there is facebook, email, messenger and stuff, I no longer see the point of waiting few days for a christmas card to arrive. I know it adds to effort but what you can say in a card, you can also say through a social networking site. That is just my opinion though.

Yes, we do still send them. It's mostly my husband who writes them and such. It's more something that he's used to doing.

I send cards to family but hand-deliver cards to the local businesses that I deal with all the time @snowy22315 .

I would rather send e-cards just because of the expense of the postage. However, I'm aware that some family members don't go online. This is mostly the more elderly members of my family. I also think e-mails can change so often that it can be easy to forget to update people with the right address if you change it but a home address is unlikely to have changed. I cut up all of my paper cards at the end of Christmas and make gift tags with them for next year.

The only one I am sending this year is to my doctor, because I send him one every year. Everyone else is getting Christmas cookies! "Beach-themed" Christmas cookies. Oh don't worry, I will start an entire discussion about them once they're made, with a photo included.

I hardly ever get one, except my insurance agent always remembers me. I guess we're closer than I thought.
