They missed their flight...

...and made me out to be a liar too. Typically I don't see robins in the winter here. Although I live in a region that is allegedly 'year-round' habitat, from November to March they are not something I expect to see. They are not seed-eaters, but prefer small invertebrates, fruits, and berries. Not much of that available here in the winter. Surprisingly, I had a small flock (6 or 7) stop in my driveway today...the day after I told someone here they were gone for the year. Maybe they were just reminding me that I'm not always right. Just most of the time.

We have birds we call robins to but they are much brighter in colour.

That bird is either puffed up or needs to go on a diet.

It's not whether you're right that is the point. It's whether people tell you that you are, even if you aren't!

It wouldn't be as fun if you are always right...according to the robins.

I have not seen a robin since at least the end of September as i have been looking for a robin or any bird to show as he had never seen a robin Onyx the kitty cat saw a bluebird twice, or it was two different birds a half hour apart, and it thrilled him! Does Scar like birds too? Onyx would never go after one as he assures me he is a pacifist like me! I am sure Scar is a sweetheart too!

@JolietJake Well, I still adore Scar anyway! i think my Onyx is a pacifist because i have been preaching peace and no form of violence at all. He picked that up from me as he is such a good little boy and listens to his mommy (me!) You should try that with Scar!

They were probably outside your window and listened to you talk about them, and just for the fun of it, decided to stay. They're were laughing and giggling at you, until the cold hit them.

I doubt they got much from the puddle in the drive since it was iced over

There are robins in my garden right now, they are eating my holly tree berry . When there will be no more berries they will be happy with the seeds.
