Winter Wonderland

Yesterdays snow looks so pretty blanketing the ground. The sun comes in and out and has melted some of the snow and I'm guessing it will all be gone in the next day or two. However, it's darn cold so I'm not venturing outside at all today. So far I've been busy getting things sorted and those that have to be mailed ready to go this week. Luckily we have a mailing center in town which makes sending those packages easier than standing in line at the post office. I only have two gifts to mail to elderly relatives and it gets harder and harder each year to figure out what to buy them. This year I decided to send my Aunt and Uncle who already went to Florida for the winter a gift box of cookies from Cheryl's Cookies. I know my Aunt won't be baking cookies so a holiday box seemed like a good idea. They had great discounts at Cheryl's online with free shipping so I feel like I got a very good deal. I'm down to the last two or three gifts left to buy. One for my daughter and the other for my son in law. Then I'm done!! Yahoo, the end is in sight. I'm very blessed with a large family but this time of year it does get a bit stressful. I want to get everything wrapped and under the tree this week. Next Sunday we're having a cookie baking party with my granddaughters so I'm really looking forward to a fun day with them. Now I'm ready to sit and relax for a bit and see what's going on here in the myLot world.

My only gift left to purchase is the same for each member of the family....this week? I'm going to run out of time. By the way...it's snowing again....we are trying to send it east!

There is a lot of nothing except relaxation going on at our house today. Next weekend we start with our Christmas gatherings, so this is our last at home kicked back weekend and we're both in our comfy clothes and not wanting to go anywhere.

Enjoy your relaxing time especially since you've just had surgery. Those days of being able to relax and not go anywhere are few and far between when it's holiday time.

@Marilynda1225 Oh I spoke too soon. Our owner is out of the country this week, so a co-worker decided to call in sick. Shortly after the meeting our finance manager asked me if I'd go and work from that dealership today and hold down the fort. I got very little work done as there was a lot of unnecessary drama there, and I felt like a referee. I hope that she's in tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.

Gift cards is the way to go Fredo. I'm sure as the years move along I'll be doing the same. My younger grandchildren still like the fun of Santa coming to my house and leaving gifts under the tree. The older ones are past that stage and are happy with gift cards or good old money.

I still have to buy something for Vince. I really don't have any idea what to get.

You would think being married to someone would make gift giving easier but I guess it's harder. I'm sure something will pop into your mind

Isn't it nice when you're nearly done? I've gotten a lot done, but there is still more to do. I intend to rap it all up this week - it's going to be busy on top of all the shopping as it is - I know for me it will be a tad stressful. Have a relaxing day!

Feels great to be almost done with christmas shopping. We only have three more gifts to get. But have two large boxes, a medium box and a smaller box to send off. Going to be tough money wise but hopefully we can do it. Today just resting and watching tv. Nothing nweds to be done at home and no need to go out.
