Would YOU Vote For a Credibly Accused CHILD MOLESTER Just Because of Party?

This is a really serious question, one I never would have believed even a year ago could ever come up. If you had a choice in your state to vote for a credibly accused child molester with a great deal of other baggage I might add or to vote for a member of the opposite party of the one you belong to or usually support, what would you do? This is exactly what voters in heavily Republican Alabama are faced with right now. They have less than two days to decide for whom to vote or whether to even bother to vote. There may even be some myLotters from Alabama, in which case I'd LOVE to hear from them.

I agree, I can't either. I already couldn't stand him long before these allegations came out because he's a bigot and a racist. I can't believe he's even still in the race let along probably about to be elected. Meanwhile, one of our best Senators has been railroaded and pushed out of office without being allowed to go through the ethics committee investigation.

@amadeo I know. I'm going to be watching MSNBC with an eye on Twitter for the returns. I've been hearing that turnout may be the key so if we hear of a high turnout that might be good news for the Democrat. Then again it could mean more RWNJ sickos voted...

Wouldn´t a child molester be in jail in your country instead of turning him into a candidate?

EXCELLENT point! Actually he would be in jail had he been caught before the statute of limitations had run out but that didn't happen. He was a fairly powerful man, even back then when he was in his thirties, and he "allegedly" told at least one of his victims that she was just a child so nobody would listen to her if she told anyone.

@anniepa If the Democrat party were intelligent, they would use that against him in a subtle way. Maybe it is not legal that they openly say what he did, but there are always ways. Lately, all sorts of harassment and abuse problems are in the news. It is a matter of using the information on time.

@anniepa Then it is time to end that. People don´t reach their goals while watching TV.

Good of you to ask us (all MyLotters, Alabaman or not). I would look at each candidate's professional history (and not 'which one's p**p was smelliest when they were young')
One thing everyone should know by now is that the Democratic Party and the media will eagerly smear conservative Republican candidates to deprive them of winning – especially just before the vote. Another thing we should have all learned by now is that bot

@mythociate Actually we're in pretty much total agreement...under NORMAL circumstances when we're dealing with NORMAL candidates and politicians. I've never cared about someone's "youthful indiscretions" when it involved smoking pot or consensual relationships or any of that stuff. I've always been about the issues. But there has to be a place where we draw the line and Trump and Moore crossed that line by 1000 miles. Anyway, you probably guessed I'm totally thrilled with the results of Tuesday's election in Alabama. It went a good distance in restoring my faith in humanity, at least for now.

@anniepa You're right, and I don't agree with many-many-many of his positions. My point is that we should judge our votes on 'what the candidates current positions & -stances are.' (BTW Congratulations! to Senator Jones!) ((And funny you should mention Breitbart as a wacky news-source, because their site was the top listing that came up when I searched Bing for "Doug Jones Policies"))

bye-bye gentlemanliness & ladylikeness
@anniepa And not to "excuse" the barbarian behaviors of Trump & Moore, but wouldn't it have been a lot less-stressful if 'the accusers' (and/or Billy Bush and/or anyone with 'dirty laundry' on those guys) had been 'more ladylike/gentlemanly' and just brought their concerns privately to the offenders and/or the authorities? https://youtu.be/yPhDoERa5Vs

And what's so "credible" about a 30- or 40-year old memory? I know I 'remember things' from 30 or 40 years ago---memories that--I know--are very "imaginary." (a few 'true things' about them, but with a lot of imagination to "fill in the blanks")

Seriously? I KNOW I'd remember if an older man had molested me when I was 14 and in my case that would be over 50 years ago. I remember VERY well when I was sexually harassed back in the late seventies and that didn't even escalate to actual assault thanks to a coworker who entered the room and interrupted whatever the slimy creep was going to do.

@anniepa So 'you imagined' he was going to do something, and therefore he's "guilty." ... interesting ...

@anniepa And you told him to back off. And he wouldn't, so your friend stepped in and 'convinced him to.' Okay, that's fine. And you were right not to report it beyond that.
