When is the last time you used a shoehorn? Do you have one?

I have a pair of shoes, that are really kind of hard to put on. I have to use my fingers as a shoehorn of sorts. Shoehorns used to be pretty common, but I don;'t think I have seen one in a long time. Anyway, I think I need one! Do you have a shoehorn? I am going to go to Payless shoes one of these days. I will have to look to see if they have one. Do they still exist?

Yes, my mother had one, with a long handle. Mom couldn't safely bend over while sitting down in a chair, to put her shoes on. It worked great! I believe it was plastic, though.

@snowy22315 Most of the older shoehorns are metal.

Been awhile since I've seen and used one. Used to have one when I was younger and I used it when putting on shoes for school.

I have one on a nail near the door and use it all the time as I don't tie and untie my shoes anymore. Too much trouble.

Of course they still exist, my husband uses a shoehorn every time he put on his shoes. I do not need one. Ikea sells great shoehorns with a long handle for less than 2 dollars.

I haven't been to Ikea for awhile..nor a shoe store for that matter. However, it seemed like before every household had one, and now, I am not so sure. I haven't used one in forever.

@snowy22315 We have a couple that are old and very nice, but the new plastic ones do the same than the fancy ones. My husband wear real leather shoes, not sneakers, so he needs one.

@LadyDuck Yes, the dress shoes are not as easy to put on in most cases.

I have a long red plastic one hanging from my shoe rack... I think I used it last not too long ago... I don't remember how or where I got it from though, I've had it for a while...

I don't, and can't remember ever using one actually. My husband does, though but it doesn't look the classic kind of shoe horn. He bought his from IKEA.

We have a couple. Vince uses them. One is a long-handled one which makes a great back-scratcher too.
