Did you miss me?

Not to worry if you didn't, it is quite apparent that if you don't interact on MyLot you do get left behind in the conversations and today I have to go through quite a number of reads just to be up to speed with some of my regulars. Christmas is approaching and I haven't even started to think of decorating as they are still busy with the refurbishing of the bathroom and the mess is endless. I think I might only get to set up the Christmas tree on the 18th which is quite late this year. The grandchildren have been visiting since we are back from the sea, and they are BUSY BUSY little boys. Bowling has been exciting and I think I might be glad to have a break from the 23rd until the New Year. The children are all planning Christmas dinners and what to do, and I have not made ONE plan yet! How are your Christmas plans going? Had the best break at the sea, but glad to be home. I am a little stressed over the Pension Date approaching very quickly and the 19th January getting closer, but for a long time I have felt that as my hubby gets closer to retirement - what do I get closer too? This quote seems apt: “The pen that writes your life story must be held in your own hand.” Irene C. Kassorla Have I been holding my pen or had it been held by others? That's a thought I am struggling with. Happy Monday to all of you!

Of course, you've been missed! I'm not thinking about immediate retirement. I've already been retired for some years and I like it. Not to have to get up early is so wonderful!

I have those thoughts but living with an insomniac it has become difficult - should a retired lady get her own room perhaps?

I thought of you yesterday Lany, of course we miss you. I am not really ready for Christmas, but my little tree is up and some decorations make the room more festive.

I shall do my little decorating next week - I know its late, but with all the tiling dust flying around I just cannot bring myself to do it now. I will put the Door Wreaths up tomorrow, at least that will bring a little festivities to the home in the meantime

I was aware that you had been absent for a couple of weeks, but just assumed that you was on holiday as usual.

Well, I'm glad you're back, we're all eyes to see what your adventures were at sea. I really like that photo, it took me a minute to figure out what it was but I like they way you set it up.

I like that quote and it is one that is well worth pondering on. Glad to see you're back. On our first night at community bowls (run over 4 weeks) our team got 8 points on one end and three of us have rarely played before. That's our main claim to fame at the moment. And it's good to have you back.

I haven't been here too much myself as I'm in Spain at the moment. I won't be doing any decorating until very late as we don't go home until the 19th. That's a great quote.
